Many of my tomato plants are dying. From the research I’ve done it appears as though a fungus caused by the torrential rains we had is what is doing in the plants. Never fear though, I have about 50 tomato plants and I picked tomatoes for over half an hour last night. I laugh at all my tomato plants but now I’m happy I have the extra plants. My extra tomato plants remind me of a question I want to ask you. In your financial life do you have a little extra set aside in case the torrential rains of life cascade down on you and cause fungus to grow in your bank account? Or are you the kind of person who spends every paycheck and a little more thinking that there’s always next year for a new crop?

In early September I’ll be planting lettuce, peas, beans, and radishes because I know I’ll have another harvest before the frost. Don’t wait till next year, start your savings program right now.
